I’ll be showing a step by step process on replacing the thermostat on 2004 Mazda 3. This also applies to the generation 2004-2009. I got a “CEL” code p0126 for it. My vehicle wasn’t heating up fast, at idle it would blow cold air, and the reservoir would get hot and leak.

Collect any antifreeze and dispose of it correctly. It can be very harmful to the environment. Your local Autozone and Advance Auto Parts will take and recycle it free of charge.
