Our Skoda Yeti was throwing up the odd warning light here and there for things like the power steering, ABS/ESC, corning lights and the traction control system. The odd thing was that everything on the car seemed to be working exactly at it should. Sometimes the warning lights would go out while driving, other times they liked to stay on like some strange Christmas tree on the dash 🙈.

After doing some research, asking @DarksideDevelopments to see what they thought and a scan of the ECU using our @AutelTools Bluetooth Diagnostics dongle, we were able to work out that it looked to be our nearside rear wheel speed sensor / ABS sensor going faulty and sending none or just plain bad data to the car.

In case you have a similar issue, here's a little video that we put together while swapping out the sensor. Just be prepared to have ALOT of patience as our electrical connector did not want to release, also the sensor didn't want to leave home and to top it all off, the new one took ALOT of persuading to move into its new home! Other than that, the job was a dream! 😂

We have to give @DarksideDevelopments a huge thanks. Not only did they point us to the correct sensor, but we were also able to order a new one on the 23rd of December. By the 24th it was posted through our letterbox so we were able to fit it over the festive period! 👍

Some of the error codes that the ECU had stored from this 1 faulty sensor:
03841 Left rear speed sensor, incorrect signal
00290 Left rear ABS wheel speed sensor - Implausible signal
00668 Vehicle voltage terminal 30 - Lower limit not reached
00290 Left rear ABS wheel speed sensor - Electrical error in circuit
00290 Left rear ABS wheel speed sensor - mechanical malfunction
01325 Tyre Pressure Monitoring Control Module - No signal/communication
U112300 Databus error value received
01316 Brake control module - Please read DTC
