Today we are replacing the camshaft position sensor in our 1999 BMW 540I E39. This has the v8 M62 motor that is also found in the E38 740I. We replaced this sensor due to our reader picking up code P1519. The process is relatively easy and quick. Make sure to buy a quality part!

We used a Delphi sensor (part number: SS11026).
