This video explains how to remove and replace a mirror on a BMW. Most mirrors on BMW should be the same, but note the video shows a BMW 3 series E46 as the example.

I am replacing the mirror on my car because my auto dim function seems to be failing visible by a change in the glass. The left side has a glittery discoloration and haze that I noticed. This is due to the fluid between the two pieces of glass in your mirror beginning to fail.

You can purchase a new mirror, or you could send yours in for repair. I have found these 3 places as well respected for repair.
