X Wiper arms: 13mm socket - 25 Nm
X Wiper motor: 3 x 13mm screws - 10 Nm
X Union nut: 2 x 27mm screws - 30 Nm

The wiper motor is removed completely with the linkage.

Before removal, mark the position of the wiper blades on the windshield with
masking tape.

W-6027

• Mark the wiper blade resting position on the windshield
with masking tape. To do this, stick a
strip of tape directly next to the wiper blade on the
windshield. During installation, the wiper arm is
repositioned onto the toothed section of the tandem bearing
so that the wiper blade is directly next to the masking tape.

• Remove the fuse for the windshield wiper system from the fuse box
in the engine compartment.

Removal
• Wet the windshield with water.

• Run the windshield wiper system for approximately 2 minutes and switch it off using the wiper switch. This will cause the wiper to return to its resting position.
