Let's change the oil on my 1998 BMW M3! It was a beautiful Labor Day morning to wrench in the garage and look over the cars.

After decades of swearing by Rotella T6 in most of my vehicles (including motorcycles), I'm giving Mobil 1 15W-50 a try in the E36 for the next oil change interval (over the previously used Rotella T6 15W40). The M3's S52 engine uses some oil, which is within BMW's acceptable range, but we'll see if a higher viscosity oil can slow the consumption between intervals. I'll also be adding some Liqui Moly Motor Oil Saver (a seal conditioner) this week.

It's certainly running quite well for 258,261 miles! Hope you enjoy the video! 😁
