This time we are here with a new video on how to change front bearings on w202, w208, w210 or w124 (Possible on more chassis with this kind of system). Why this car needed a bearing replacement and how did I know it needs to be replaced? One day I was trying to do donuts on both sides - that was when I realized left shock absorber has gone bad. When I tried to spin a donut on right.. Left wheel started to jump forward and that ended the bearing. On a way home there was a noise and vibration on the left wheel that could be felt on steering wheel. These type of bearings needs to be set with a special tool to measure how hard it needs to be tightened, but we just tightened it in the spot where the hub did not move anymore - make sure you do not over tighten it because that will destroy the bearing and you will need to replace it after a while again. How to know that you tightened it too much ? - After a drive your hub will be really hot. Be careful how strong you tighten it! And stay tuned for more videos!
