Learn how to replace front discs and pads on Mercedes SLK 2006 onwards!
They will eventually need to be replaced and It generally takes 30 minutes to 1 hour as per expert mechanics.
Wear and tear on your brake discs can reduce their ability to slow the vehicle down and cause vibrations through the brake pedal. If this is allowed to worsen, the pedal will stop interacting with the brake disc and prevent the car from stopping altogether.
These discs are handed so double check when change disc pattern.
Follow this procedure for all models have similar braking system(identical Brake calliper).
After replacing discs and pads Bedding-in new pads and rotors should be done carefully and slowly. Rapid heat buildup in the brake system can lead to uneven transfer film deposits. Most brake pad compounds will take up to 300-400 miles to fully develop an even film transfer onto the rotors.
