Hello folks, here is a very different video to the usual restoration content. We are very fortunate to have other cars that I have to maintain and improve. Here is our SLK which we had an ABS wheel sensor failure whilst we were on a 3 week road trip earlier this year. So we decided to keep the roof up as it can be a little risky with the failed sensor not communicating properly with the rest of the car.
Anyway, here is how I fixed the problem and how determined the brand of the OEM sensor if you wish to do the same.
I purchased my new ATE branded sensor from Euro Car Parts who had one in stock. The part number can be seen in the video.
I hope you enjoy and stay to the end for a short extract for the KONGOS - "Hey I Don't Know" . It is less than a minute but nevertheless very enjoyable.
