Fixing that annoying whining noise in my E250 wagon with the M271 evo CGI turbo engine. Same as the C200, C250, E200, anything with the 1.8l 4 cylinder, possibly same with other Mercs too.

I'd gone through all the idler pulleys and tensioner, new belt as well but still had this annoying whining noise. Someone told me it could be the Aircon or AC compressor pulley and with it being a 12 year old car I thought let's give it a go and replace the pulley.

Luckily it fixed the problem and the car is very smooth and quiet now. Hope it helps you too!
