The actuator repair from Part 1 failed. Why?

OBD fault code stored 98B101 - DCU-LR-Left Rear Door - The output for the central locking motor has a malfunction. There is a general electrical fault.

PARTS:

Actuator assemblies aftermarket - check if it is front or rear, left or right, remote or keyless go. I don't know if left vs right hand drive cars are different.

Rivets:

for plastic guard
3 rivets about 3/16" diameter x 5/16" length with normal flange (original 9 mm flange)
Common size - something 4 to 5 mm diameter and 6 to 12 mm length probably okay

for door panel
9 Rivets. Can buy Mercedes rivets part number A0049902897

They're an unusual size and require a heavy duty rivet gun for 1/4" rivets.
