You will need a hose clamp tool, extended.
The rest is quite easy.

I will be replacing the thermostat and coolant hose on this Mercedes, because it was leaking at the hose but the customer also wanted the entire thermostat replaced, it's not a big job, you could do it at home. Any questions are welcome.

The cause of a leaking thermostat could be a cracked thermostat housing! The cause of the leakage was too much pressure build up from a failing head gasket.
