Watch Marc replace a broken rear coil spring on a Mercedes C Class.
These coil springs are mounted on the suspension arm and this part of the spring can be hard to see due to the design. this design commonly holds water and allows the springs to corrode in this area, resulting in the break.
always use a mirror to inspect those hard to see places.

Note that after replacing suspension components Tracking and Alignment should be checked and adjusted accordingly.
