On this car you will find a fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail therefore testing it first it's a good idea if you get a P0087 . If the sensor reacts to the change in rpm's and the pressure is still low , you got the symptoms for low fuel pressure than the high pressure fuel pump might be bad .
