Join me as I replace the driver's door lock of my 2013 Mazda6i Grand Touring. Lesser and earlier models had interior door handles that automatically unlocked the door when pulled. This is a function of the door lock mechanism. When I replaced the door I did not swap over the higher spec auto unlocking lock and so I went looking for one and found it in a junk yard. Let's get into the process of getting this sorted.
