Change the shocks even without a jack up, even simply on the street with a couple of tools and without lifting the car up.

If things go well. If they doesn't, you have to either do some cutting with an angle grinder, bore holes and do an alternate repair or just mount the shock back and leave it to a shop. We'll see at the end.
