2013 Mini Cooper R56 Lower Control Arm Bushings Replacement and Subframe Refresh (subframe out job)

In this video, I show you how to remove the lower control arm (LCA) compliance (big, rear) bushings, and press in new ones. Or you can just replace the whole assembly and save a lot of time. I show removal of the bushing using an inexpensive bushing press kit, as well as using a 12-ton
shop press (also not spendy, though it takes up some room).
This job is done with the subframe out of the car, making it a MUCH easier job, but showing what is involved even if you don't choose to drop the subframe.
I also go over the subframe, removing rust and repainting the nasty spots so it'll look a lot better installed back in my project Mini.
If this video helps you understand the process, or makes your job easier, I'd appreciate it if you'd like the video and subscribe to my channel. That will make it easier for you to find current and future related videos, and will help me continue to produce future videos.
Thanks!
