DIY Rear Brake Replacement – Audi TTS / TT Mk2 (8J) | Pads & Rotors Install

In this video, I replace the rear brake pads and rotors on my 2011 Audi TTS Mk2 (8J). Just like the front brakes, this is a pretty straightforward job that can save you a lot of money in labor if you’re willing to get your hands dirty.

It can be a struggle to squeeze the rotor past the brake carrier without removing the spline/triple square bolts, but I did manage without. I walk you through the full process, making sure everything goes back together smoothly.

If you own a TT, TTS, or even a TTRS, the rear brake process is very similar — and totally doable in your own garage.

Parts used:
• Rear brake pads
• Rear rotors/discs
• Basic tools + brake rewind tool
• Triple square bit set (possible without but you may scratch your new rotors depending on how thick they are)
