Changing the engine oil and engine oil filter in the Audi TT which is the same job for all audi cars and all vw / Volkswagen cars. It is important to change the TT cars engine oil in the TT as it’s the life blood of the car .
The Audi TT engine oil is changed every 4500 miles
The engine oil used in my Audi TT is 5w40 I have use 5w30 but returned to 5w40.

I’m still not sure if my Audi TT was burning oil or just leaking oil
DIY tutorial showing how I changed the Engine Oil and Oil Filter on my Audi TT Mk1 8N Engine. Showing how i jacked the car up, access the sump and drain plug, removed the engine oil and filter, replaced the Oil Filter and refilled with new 5W40 Fully Synthetic engine oil.

Handy torque settings
Sump plug Torque spec - 30Nm
Oil capacity - 4.5L
Oil filter - Hand tighten to a sensible level.

Drain Sump Plug : 30Nm or 22lbf ft torque
