I just replaced all 4 Glowplugs for my Audi A3 2.0 TDI (BKD engine code). All 4 of them were broken. There was no Light in the dask, only on VCDS. The engine was starting heavyly in the morning, but there was no shaking .

I did not had any help with recording before dissasembling the big Black Plastic.

- I just unscrewed all torx screws around the plastic.
- Removed the plastic from timing belt by removing clips.
- I departed the big plastic pipe and used the force toremove the big plastic from engine.

The error was:
005658 - Glowplug for Cylinder X(1,2,3,4) (Q10)
P161A - 001 - Open Circuit

Before replacing the glowplugs:
- If i did ,,Clean DTC'', the error followed only the next cold morning.
Now it's all good.

I measured the voltage from loom without any glowplug and it was only 6V. On website i saw something about 4.4v for glowplugs. Probably it wil decrease when it's under load

Do not power them using 12v for testing! Use Ohm-meter to check continuity.

The value should be less than 3 ohms if the glowplugs are cold.
