►The rear shocks in your B9 Audi are active every second you're driving. As you motor down the road, they work with the springs to absorb the bumps and dips, ensuring you have a comfortable or sporty ride, even when your trunk is full. However, their constant use means they'll eventually wear out. Replacing them is a straightforward job that's perfectly doable for a driveway or garage.

A worn shock is typically accompanied by an extra-squishy ride and/or clunking over bumps. They'll also leak fluid, so a wet shock on a dry day is a good sign it'll soon need replacement. During the replacement process is also a good time to inspect your control arms. At this mileage, the bushings are likely to have decent wear.
