You can remove the Alternator pulley in situ by cutting the pulley clutch bit so it will fit the 8mm Allen wrench. It needs to fit deeply into the pulley so I cut a lot of the bit out using an angle grinder.

I braced the clutch bit with a 17mm wrench tied to a strap so it doesn’t fall. And held it in place with a 1/2” socket extension bar.

I tied a strap to a 19mm wrench to fit on the tensioner nub to release tension.

After breaking the clutch pulley free I removed the clutch hold tool and Allen wrench as there is no room for them as the pulley backs out off the alternator. held the clutch pulley from spinning using a long flat screwdriver and spinning the alternator shaft by moving the alternator internal fins.

I hope this saves someone from having to remove the wheel, engine mount wheel well panel, alternator etc.
