Back to this volvo 2016 75000 miles #v40 been perfect then suddenly starts showing charging fault on the dash third alternator and wiring checked next step ecu.
Customer sent car to volvo and they reported that it was the wrong alternator and only the genuine Volvo unit will work
So there you have it aftermarket alternator not fit for purpose
