In this video I show you how to replace an alternator on a 2006 Nissan X Trail 2.5 L Automatic all wheel drive machine. This is definitely a job you can do in the driveway on your own if you have a few of the specialty tools that I used, to make your life considerably easier. You can find some of those trick tools in the links below. What I will tell you is definitely make your life easier by going to a good rebuilder or getting a new alternator because these alternators often die because of the heat from the manifold. It's basically the same design and placement for the majority of 2.5 L four-cylinder engines by Nissan which you will find in various vehicles such as the Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Sentra and probably many other Nissans that have the same 2.5 L.
