This video shows you how to install a new crankshaft position sensor on your 2004-2009 Toyota Prius. The crankshaft position sensor is an important component of any electronically controlled ignition system. The sensor provides the computer with data about the position of the crank shaft to properly adjust ignition timing. If the sensor in your vehicle is broken or malfunctioning, you may suffer poor performance, or get a check engine light.

This repair was done on a 2006 Toyota Prius Base 1.5L Hatchback 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2004 Toyota Prius
2005 Toyota Prius
2006 Toyota Prius
2007 Toyota Prius
2008 Toyota Prius
2009 Toyota Prius
