This is a Yaris i bought recently to sell on, even with 5 months MOT left i decided to put it through again to sell it with a years test. It failed on the front nearside spring being broken.
This video shows the process involved in removing the strut, i do not show how the spring is replaced on the strut itself as i still have not got a spring compressor, and the one i have access to in a relatives shed is best described as dangerous. Despite that if you remove the strut the most a mechanic with a spring compressor should charge would be £10 as its easy to swap them over.
