Here's how to replace the alternator on your Fiat Panda 2003-2012 169 1.1 car, and will apply to other variants. Our alternator was making a noise when the car was started from cold, on closer inspection, the bearings were running rough so we decided to replace it, it's an easy enough job and requires a few basic tools.

Please note there's are several different versions of this alternator varying in price, however the pulley and fixing points can differ, so it's worth double-checking especially for the pulley, our pulley sticks out a little bit more which makes the drivebelt coming from the crank sit parallel otherwise it will be at an angle and that's no good as the belt will be destroyed in no time.
