"Step-by-Step Guide to Repairing a Renault Clio Electric Window: DIY Fix for Common Car Problems"
Replacing the electric window regulator to the drivers side of my Renault Clio 2004, 3 door hatchback,
This was a very easy fix, I paid £54 for the new kit which is already to go straight into the vehicle from Carparts4less.co.uk,
It is possible to buy the cables alone but I would not recommend that as the setup of the cables on the spindle is a real pain (I learned this the hard way!)
Simply disconnect the speaker and electric window buttons, remove the door card by undoing the 4 screws at the bottom of the door, then remove the old damaged window regulator by undoing the 5 bolts, taking care with the glass, once out prop the window up with something or get someone to hold it up whilst fitting the new kit, plug in and test before attaching the glass and lower to the area with the most space then lower the glass into position to attach to the plastic carrier then add the retaining Clip to keep the glass in place,
Hey presto you’ve just fixed your electric window and saved at least £100 on garage costs,
