In this week’s video, I fix a problem with Project C1. Its running rougher than a badger’s badger and its not really enjoying life right now, so it’s time to start looking into the root cause of the problem. It sounds like it’s only running on two cylinders and I have an Engine Management Light (EML) on, so I decided to get my new code reader out and take a look at what it could be. My best bet would be coil pack, so I spoke to my friends at CSC Racing to obtain a replacement and swapped it out.

It’s changed by removing the air box (if applicable for your car) and unplug the electrical connector from the coil pack. Undo the 10mm bolt that secures it to the rocker cover and remove the coil pack. Replace it with the new one and re-installation is the opposite of removal.
