How to change rear brake pads / brake pad set on VOLKSWAGEN TOURAN 1 (1T3) 1.6 MPV 05.2010–05.2015 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Brake pads on VW Beetle (5C) (04.2011–present) / VW Caddy III (2K, 2C) (04.2004–05.2015) / VW Eos (1F) (03.2006–08.2015) / VW GOLF V (1K) (10.2003–02.2009) / VW PASSAT B6 (3C) (08.2005–10.2011) cars should be replaced, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.
However, there can be slight differences due to specific features of the vehicle design.

00:25 — Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.
00:34 — Unscrew the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
00:40 — Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
00:44 — Disconnect the ABS sensor electric socket. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor plug.
00:54 — Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
01:17 — Remove the brake caliper.
01:33 — Remove the brake pads.
02:04 — Press in the brake caliper piston. Use brake caliper wind back tool.
02:38 — Treat the back side of the new brake pads. Use anti-squeal paste.
03:06 — Install new brake pads.
03:24 — Install the brake caliper and fix it. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a combination spanner #19.
03:36 — Tighten the guide pins. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 30 Nm torque.
03:47 — Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
03:51 — Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
04:19 — Tighten the brake fluid reservoir cap.
