simple way of readjusting your parking brake in the golf mk 6.

steps are:

-ensure your car will not roll without the brakes on.
-start car
-press foot on brake pedal
-release handbrake
-take foot off brake pedal and then push down on the brake pedal as hard as you can and keep it there.
-while keeping the button pressed in, pull the handbrake back as far as it will go 3 times and release at the top.
-take foot off brake pedal.
-release handbrake which should spring forward under tension.
-handbrake should now be adjusted.
